Be Blessed Today!

Jeremiah 17:5-10 New Living Translation (NLT) Wisdom from the  Lord 5  This is what the  Lord  says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans,      who rely on human strength      and turn their hearts away from the  Lord . 6  They are like stunted shrubs in the desert,      with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness,      in an uninhabited salty land. 7  “But blessed are those who trust in the  Lord      and have made the  Lord  their hope and confidence. 8  They are like trees planted along a riverbank,      with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat      or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green,      and they never stop producing fruit. 9  “The human hear...

Does the cold weather have you in a slump? Are January bills starting to pile up? Have the holidays left you feeling exhausted?   Here's the answer: Matthew 11:28 KJV - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. NLT - Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Jeremiah 6:16 KJV -    Thus saith the Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. NLT - This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around.     Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it.  Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. Do Good!

The holiday season can bring about unexpected challenges sometimes.  This is a reminder of encouragement for you. Be not weary in well-doing.  2 Thessalonians 3:13

Determined, Pt. 1: WORK!!!

Part 1 of Our "Determined" Series: It's time to take an honest look at ourselves.  I know I can look at myself extra hard in this matter.  It's important that we work and it's important that we work "well".   In our efforts to succeed at life, we must have a sense of determination.  What better place to start than with ourselves?  We must ensure that we are first doing the "work" necessary to become successful.  What work is it that we should be doing?  Well, let's start with what we're doing now.  Solomon is stating in this scripture that the best time to work is NOW before we go to the grave. Maybe you aren't in your dream job.  It is possible that you aren't on a job at all.  What are you doing?  Do you take care of your home?  Do you help people?  Do it "well".  Work well at listening to people, being helpful, cleaning your home, taking care of yourself, reading your Bible, studying it and praying.  St...

Perfect Timing...

Stop waiting for the perfect time to do something.  You will not get it done.  I said it.  It won't happen.  If you truly want it to happen you should start now.  Write it down, start taking baby steps to making it happen.  Begin the transformation.  Start talking about it.  Start living it.  Begin to work at it.  What good is it to wait?  How much have you waited for already?  Why are you doing this to yourself?  Write your plan and dissect it into the smallest bits that you can begin doing now. Find the school, the course, the class that will teach you what you need to know.  Fill out the application.  Begin the daily routine.  Practice. Practice. Practice.  Try it out.  Whatever you do, stop waiting on "perfect" timing.  You really won't find that.  The time is now! Ecclesiastes 11:4 KJV - He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap....
