Misunderstood

Have you ever been misunderstood?
Have you ever felt that you were explaining yourself until you were blue in the face?
Does it feel like no one understands?
Jesus was misunderstood by those closest to Him.  After all of the time spent together and the many times that He explained His mission, people were still unable to grasp what He was saying.
Luke 18:31-34 (MSG) Then Jesus took the Twelve off to the side and said, “Listen carefully. We’re on our way up to Jerusalem. Everything written in the Prophets about the Son of Man will take place. He will be handed over to the Romans, jeered at, made sport of, and spit on. Then, after giving him the third degree, they will kill him. In three days he will rise, alive.” But they didn’t get it, could make neither heads nor tails of what he was talking about.
They didn’t get it, they couldn’t grasp what He was saying.  It might not be comforting to know that you are in good company, maybe it will help to realize that there will be times when no one will understand.
No one can truly understand what you are going through, it’s your life.  The most that one can do is empathize, even sympathize.  Even if you know someone who has experienced the same situation, only you know how you feel because everyone feels differently.
Take all that you are feeling and give it to God.  Tell Him how your really feel, every bit of it, whether its hurt, anger, frustration, pain, confusion, etc.  God will always understand and has the ability to grasp even the feelings that you have hidden in your heart.  Ask God to help you and He will step in and take care of you.
