Recognize the Tactics Being Used Against You!

When situations arise in your life stop for a moment and ask yourself, "is this an attack?" Nothing is an accident. Everything works out for our good, right? Then what is happening right now? What just happened? Have you been in the Word? Have you been walking and talking with God? Have you been doing your best to be obedient?
Remember that the devil is your enemy. An enemy constantly devises plans to attack you. Oftentimes, we fail to recognize what a real enemy is. Think of it as an opponent. An opponent does everything in their power to defeat you. So does an enemy.
So back to you. You've been doing your best, but for some reason everything is going wrong in your life. Is this an attack? It very well could be. The devil watches you, he's always watched you and will continue to do so. He throws obstacles your way strategically. When you think you're doing good, problem. When your world feels upside down, problem. When someone close is sick, problem. Yes, your enemy - the devil sends problems your way.
How do you deal with this? Recognize his tactics. John 10:10 says that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. The same scripture informs us that Jesus came that we may have an abundant life. Think about that. The devil brings calamity while Christ gives life. It is up to us recognize what we are dealing with. While it is true that some situations that we face are consequences of our own actions and then there are times when God is building us or working things out of us  (think about learning patience, it requires issues that train us to be patient), other times its simply our event attacking us.
Once you recognise the tactics being used against you its up to you to act accordingly. How do you do that? The Holy Spirit leads and guides us into all truth. (John 16:13, 14). Pray to God about your situation. Tell Him all about it, how it makes you feel, ask questions, ask for His help, protection and direction. Ask God to speak to and comfort your heart and then stop! Stop and listen for the Holy Spirit to minister to you. We oftentimes skip this vital step! It's most important. This is the step that will give you peace in the storm! If you don't hear a thing its ok, that means wait. God is working and He wants you to trust Him. If you He speaks, listen and do exactly as instructed, no matter how it sounds, no
matter what it is, DO IT!
1 Peter 5:8 tells us that the enemy is like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. A lion roars to paralyze its prey. It's easier to win a battle with an opponent that can't resist. When Satan brings obstacles and problems your way, He works to paralyze you. He does his best to stop you from talking to God by encouraging you to complain about the problem. He convinces you that you must solve the problem on your own so that you begin worrying how to fix things without going to God about it.
Don't allow yourself to get paralyzed! Recognize the devils tactics! He desires to destroy you! When situations arise go to your God! Run to your Father! Let Him solve it! Give God the problem! (1 Peter 5:7).  You are a Child of God and that makes you smarter and wiser. Don't be fooled by your enemy, recognize his tactics.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.   He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
