Tricks Are For Kids!
"When I was a child"... hopefully you acted, thought and played like a child.
We're adults now and its time that we act accordingly. The scripture instructs us to be strong.
We are told to put on the whole armor of God. Armor is protective gear that is worn in battle. Armor is heavy. We must wear God's armor to stand up against evil, problems, horrible situations, circumstances and the wiles of the devil.
In the middle of the battle we sometimes fight the wrong fight and find ourselves exhausted and beat up. I couldn't imagine putting on armor and going to the wrong battle. I've never been a soldier but I've seen what's worn to battle and I wouldn't want to carry anything any further than I needed to, especially going to a battle.
Again, we're not children anymore. Paul teaches that we don't fight against flesh and blood (people). We fight against principalities and powers (forces of evil around us), rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. This does not represent the challenges that we faced as children. 🎠or 🎡or 🎢.
Because of this evil we are again instructed, a 2nd time to stand with the entire armor of God on. We must stand strong in all of that armor, it's the grown up thing to do. 🤺
As adults when we stand up to what we are dealing with God steps in and blesses us. Verses 14-16 describe the armor in its entirety and explains the benefits of each piece. The weight of the armor is gone and the strength of the armor is all-powerful! Put on the whole armor!
Watch and pray! Pray and watch! This is what we are to do while we stand with our armor on. There's work to be done while we wear our armor. Adults work. While we work our Heavenly Father sees the armor that we've put on and He goes to war on our behalf.
Tricks are for kids. You are not a child and you will not be deceived any more. You don't have to fight with people. You now understand that the evil around you is what you are up against.
Remind the adult in you that it's time to put on the armor of God. It's time to stand strong while you watch and pray. God is working things out for your good. Trust Him. Wear His Armor.

Put on the armor of God and watch and pray as He fights for you.

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
