I Still Say, "Thank You"!

Image
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18(KJV) How can we say, "Thank You God", about everything?  In my head, I hear voices saying, But I feel so sad. Nothing is working out for me. I hate my life. I don't like how I'm treated. I don't know what to do. I don't know where to go. I'm lost. I have nothing. Everything's gone. Everyone's gone. So how can I say, "Thank You God"? And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV) Allow your faith to let this sink in.  Every.single.thing in your life is working for your good.  The roadblocks that you've experienced were and are lessons to help you get to where you are going. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy s...

Yes, You Can Bear It!

Image
1 Corinthians 10:13 Yes, You Can Bear It!   To read the entire context of this scripture, go back and read  verses 1-18 .  The scripture begins talking about people who became “caught up”, so to speak, in their situations. Our Attitudes and Opinions No matter what happens in our lives and we form an opinion and attitude towards the circumstance.  It can be minor or major.  We either like it or dislike it.  Either way, it is our attitudes and our actions that produce the outcome of every situation that we encounter. DON’T STOP READING! I know that that last sentence may have caught you off guard, it’s okay.  Keep reading, I’ll make it clearer as we go on.  You see, just like in the first 11 verses of 1 Corinthians, Chapter 10, the actions of the Israelites placed them in a worse position than they started in.  There are times when we say and do things that place us in in terrible positions and when we look back ...

When Will I Move This Mountain?

Image
"When will I move this mountain?" Matt. 17:19-21 We move mountains when we believe. Some of us are wondering, "when?" I know I do. In this scripture, Jesus used the example of the mustard seed because it takes a small amount of faith to accomplish lots. It not how much strength, it's how much do you BELIEVE. Fasting and Prayer... When we fast and pray it is then that we take our eyes off of the problem and place the problem into God's hands. With the problem out of our hands and off of our shoulders we are free and strengthened to move the mountain.  You must believe God to move your mountain. Matthew 17:19-20 (NLT) 19 Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast out that demon?” 20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible....

Tricks Are For Kids!

Image
"When I was a child"... hopefully you acted, thought and played like a child. We're adults now and its time that we act accordingly. The scripture instructs us to be strong. When we feel weak, be strong. When life beats us down, be strong. Be strong in the Lord. S M XL L We are told to put on the whole armor of God. Armor is protective gear that is worn in battle. Armor is heavy. We must wear God's armor to stand up against evil, problems, horrible situations, circumstances and the wiles of the devil. In the middle of the battle we sometimes fight the wrong fight and find ourselves exhausted and beat up. I couldn't imagine putting on armor and going to the wrong battle. I've never been a soldier but I've seen what's worn to battle and I wouldn't want to carry anything any further than I needed to, especially going to a battle. Again, we're not children anymore. Paul teaches that we don't fight against flesh and blood (pe...

Faith & Patience

Image
We look everywhere for a quick schemes.  Get-rich quick, lose weight quick, learn quick, etc.  We are living in a "microwave" age where we want everything Quick.Fast. and in a Hurry. We live in a "microwave" age. In the book of James, the 1st chapter, it's a lot different.  Here we are told that we are going to experience troubles.  We are told to have joy while we experience these problems because it is a testing of our faith.  Trust is believing and knowing without a shadow of doubt that God will come through.  Faith requires patience.  Patience means wait a while.  The while doesn't have a timer, it can be fast or slow, but waiting definitely comes with the territory.  It's important while we faithfully wait to believe and stay focused on the goal. S M L XL   We absolutely can not be double minded. We must have faith and be patient when we ask anything of God. For example, to ask God for a house, you have to ...

The Veil is Removed!

Image
Grace and Peace!    I thank God for removing the veil from my life!  We don’t have to worry about God’s glory fading away from us, we have the ability to communicate with God our Father and the Holy Spirit helps us to understand Him. It doesn’t matter what you are going through or how bad it has gotten, you can now live free.  You can give God all of your problems and ask Him to show you the way out of them.  It’s then up to you to get some sleep or some rest while you wait on His answer.  Once you receive the answer you can then run and get it done, but you don’t have to worry. God’s Glory won’t fade like it did in Moses’ day.  If you stay connected, He will stay right there and give you peace in the middle of that problem.  He will bless you if you believe Him for the blessing! He wants to to bless you and that is why He removed the veil! Trust Him for your happiness today! 2 Corinthians 3:7-18: 7 The old way,[a...

Move When You Hear Him!

Image
In Luke 7:3 and 4 we read how the Centurion heard about Jesus and immediately believed in HIM and sent for Him. How amazing would it be if we moved the moment we heard Jesus?  Where would we be in life if we moved when He spoke? Would we still call that person our friend, even though the relationship has been over for so long?  Would we still be at that job where there isn't a chance of growing?  Would we still live in that town where we feel stagnant and no longer at home? We should move quickly when we hear about God. We should believe HIM and look for Him! That's our lesson here, get moving and look for God in your situation.  God has already spoken to you.  Stop sitting still and go out to Him.    S M XL L   Your faith is what will carry you. God looks at our faith in HIM. Do you believe that God will save you, heal you, bring you out of that situation? It's a new year. It's time to move quickly when we hear...

I CHOOSE to be HAPPY!

I'm going to enjoy this day! - Yes, a few things haven't gone my way. - Ok, a few things happened that upset me. - Some things were said that disappointed me. So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. Ecclesiastes 3:12 NLT

5 Ways to Help Your Loved one Through the Holiday Season!

Image
What if you are not depressed and it’s your loved one that suffers from depression through the holiday, thereby causing you to feel a little down too.  We covered surviving the holiday weekend last year, http://www.depressionnomore.care/2016/05/6-ways-to-get-rid-of-depression-over.html .   It’s always a good article to refer back to.   Here are 5 Ways to Help Your Loved One Through the Holiday Season!: 1.         Pray. (Did you expect something else coming from me?, LOL)  Lay everything before God.  Write it if you need to.  The Bible speaks of making our petitions known to God.  List how you feel and what you’ve experienced.  Ask God to hold your loved one through this season and ask God to strengthen you to be the support that they need . 1 John 5:14, 15 14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:   15...

I Want NOTHING More Than God Alone!

Good Morning and Happy 4th of July! Today's Psalm is the highest degree of the 3 Psalms before it. Its the 4th degree. You can read Psalm 120 - 123 for the full content if you'd like. The author appears to be unknown and add-ons suggest that this was written after David. The prayer is strong and desperate. The writer compares looking for God like a servant who keeps their eyes on their master. Never looking elsewhere. The writer then asks for God's mercy.  Mercy for being filled with feelings unlike God or that disappoint God. Does it upset us when we think our do things that God doesn't want us to do? Are our eyes on God? The writer is at a point where they want NOTHING more than God ALONE! Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.  Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.  Have me...

Live Like Jesus!

Image
Live Like Jesus! On this 21st day of June, we are spending 21 minutes with God. Ask the hard questions today...How do I live and love like Christ does?  What do I have to give up so I don't miss the mark? I pray that you make time to hear God's response so that it's s not just the 1st Day of summer, but the 1st day of your new life. Be blessed today! But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. 1 John 2:5‭-‬6 NLT #growaminuteadaywithgod #getgrowing #depressionnomore #time2bhaphaphappy

14 Minutes...

Image
God bless you today! 14 Wonderful minutes to spend with God today! When I think of the goodness of Jesus! I have to thank God! Here's a scripture that you can read and find plenty to thank God for. Did you know that absolutely nothing can separate you from God? Yes, we suffer because we love God, that is a fact. The devil and the world have no desire for you to follow Christ and have a prosperous and eternal life, so they make every attempt to destroy you. Wouldn't it be just like the God that we serve to keep us through every problem, situation, temptation, trial, accusation and test? He causes us to triumph, overcome and conquer! He does this by giving us the fruits of His Spirit. In the midst of our situation, we manage to have love, joy, peace. We are able to endure, be gentle, keep the faith, be humble and have self - control. God I am so thankful that NOTHING and NO ONE can separate me from Your love!  Romans 8:35-39 (KJV)  Who shall separate us from the love ...

DECIDE!

Image
Make a decision today to life the new life that God has given you in Christ!  Stop living a life a sin.  Live in the freedom and power that Christ gives us. For 13 Minutes today, pray about this decision.  Ask God to show you what you need to give up to walk in the newness that He’s given us.  Ask God to help you to surrender what you have held on to and for the strength to walk in your decision.  Enjoy your new life without sin.  It is possible through Christ! Here are 4 different versions of this eye-opening, in-your-face scripture, Romans 6:13: 13  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. KJV 13  Do not go on offering members of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness. But offer yourselves to God [in a decisive act] as those alive [raised] from the dead [to a new life]...

You Did Say that You Were Going to Get Closer to God, Didn't You?...

Plans, Plans, Plans

11 Minutes today alone with God!  You can do it! Take a look at what we're focusing on today... Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Have you dealt with a problem or situation for a long time? Or, have you lived with a situation for years? In this scripture, the people of God had been in captivity for 70 years. Jeremiah went to God on their behalf and after 10 days this was God's reply. God has a plan for your life. 2 verses later tells us to seek him. Are you seeking God's plan for your life? Many times we go with our own plans and we find ourselves living with a situation longer than we should because we refused to seek God. Praise God for His plans for you! Thank Him because the plans are good! (Where else can you find that?) Repent for doing things your way. Ask God to lead you and then follow the way that He leads. God bless you today!

He Makes You Look Better!

Image
Blessed Sabbath! For 10 Minutes today, thank and praise God that you don't look like what you've been through!  Thank God that today you are better, stronger, smarter and wiser because of His love for you!   This scripture says He dresses us with His saving power and covers us with His goodness. Do you know anyone else who would do that? I was a mess and I can still be a mess, but I'm so thankful that God chose me! I'm thankful and beyond grateful for how He blesses me. I'm not where I should be, but if you know me, I'm definitely not what I used to be. Thank YOU God! Isaiah 61:10 (KJV)  I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Real POWER!

Image
Good Day! For 4 Minutes today we are going to pray about and meditate on this promise given by Jesus.  Ask God for His Holy Spirit so that you will have power! Holy Ghost power is REAL power! It's that power that changes lives and situations, the way that we see things, it changes the way that we speak. When we have Holy Ghost power we speak what God says about us, instead of our own opinions and that's when we see the hand of God in our lives! Throughout the day, let's put this scripture into action, tell someone about the awesome God we serve. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts of the Apostles 1:8 NLT

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread...

From:   Grow-A-Minute-A-Day Good Morning, I woke up in prayer and study of the Word of God with my wonderful husband, Justin Smith . I encourage you to pray and read the Bible with your family, if you can. If you can't, then do it alone until they join you. The scripture that I want to encourage you with today is: Matthew 6:11 - Give us this day our daily bread. Jesus instructs us to pray to God for provision. Do we ask God to feed us, provide for us, clothe us, fulfill our needs? It's more than food. More often than not, we need God's Word, God's guidance and leading, which is bread enough. The Bible tells us in Matthew 7:7-12, to ask and we shall receive. Are you sick? Are you struggling financially? Do you need more of God in your life? Do you need food in your house? Ask God for what you need? Better, ask God to provide for you what you need according to His Will? He's the parent that knows what's best ...
